Maison Jaune is owner-run by Helen Anderson and Leighton Ellis.
They've been friends since meeting in Chamonix in 2001, and are due to be married in July 2009.
About Helen
Helen loves running, and randonnéee skiing (uphill !!!) as well as traditional downhill skiing. She learnt to ski in her forties, and now believes crying is no longer an integral part of the sport. Originally in graphic design, she came to Chamonix as a ski bum in 1998, and opened the doors of Maison Jaune to her first guests on Boxing Day 2004.
About Leighton
Leighton loves to cook, loves food and drink, and is a real gastronophile. Originally in IT, Leighton is responsible for this website, and still works
part-time doing websites and other techie stuff. He learnt to ski whilst still in school, and came to Chamonix valley in 1999, drawn by his passion for paragliding and skiing. He also plays classical piano.
Virtually all the photos on this website were taken by us using either a Canon Powershot S60, or a Canon EOS 40D with a polarising filter.
