Private or group lessons for beginners?
Over the last four years, we have consistently found that:
people learn quickest and gain the most enjoyment with private lessons.
With private lessons:
- We can guarantee the level of English spoken
- The instructors will pick you up directly from the chalet
- They will take you to the location in the valley with the best snow conditions for your ability
- Most people have a faster learning curve
- Most people enjoy learning to ski or snowboard more than as part of a group lesson
Put simply, you will learn quicker and have more fun with private lessons.
For private ski lessons (up to five people), the cost is approximately:
2 hours: 120 euros
Half day: 210 euros
Full day: 330 euros

We've been working closely with James, a phenomenal French ski instructor and guide1, for over three years now.
James speaks excellent English, is a really flexible instructor, quick to appreciate the specific way that you learn, and adapt his teaching methods to guarantee your progress.
James is great with children and beginners, and while he knows how to challenge and motive you, he firmly believes you must enjoy your skiing first and foremost.
We've had guests return from lessons saying that James is the best instructor that they've ever had, and refuse to book with anyone else!!
James gets booked very early, so to ensure you will not be disappointed, please let us know as soon as possible. If James is booked however, he works with a select team of English-speaking guides and instructors that we can thoroughly recommend.
1James is a fully-qualified UIAGM High Mountain Guide, and thus can also take you mountaineering, rock climbing, via ferrata, ice climbing, etc.

We can offer guiding by internationally qualified UIAGM High Mountain Guides.
Whether you would like a day out on the Vallée Blanche, or to try ski touring to explore the untracked mountains, we can help.
A day on the Vallée Blanche will cost you 350 euros for your guide - who will be available to you for whole day.
So should you finish the Vallée Blanche early, he can show you the best snow in some of the 'secret' routes in the Chamonix valley.
